ENTREPRENEUR & AUTHOR

The historical saying “Jack of all trades and master of none” might describe Peter J Snow OAM - though few have turned such breadth into a legacy as enduring as his.

Abandoning early paths to engineering and accounting, Peter instead built a lifetime of service, leadership, and innovation. He credits his confidence and direction to JCI (formerly Jaycees International), which he joined in Fremantle in 1970.

Across more than 70 years, his vision and entrepreneurial spirit have earned international recognition for project initiatives in public relations, fund raising, education, and support for people with disabilities.

His personal honours include awards for Voluntary Contribution to Western Australian Heritage, a Paul Harris Fellowship from Rotary International, the title of Honorary Tarheel of North Carolina, and serving as a Community Torchbearer for the Sydney 2000 Olympics.

JCI awards including JCI Senator of the Asia-Pacific and 15 years later, JCI Senator of the World, Outstanding National Officer, and one of JCI’s Inspiring Jaycees of the World. He was Jaycee's first Ambassador in Western Australia and one of the state’s 5 Outstanding Young Australians. In 2023 he received JCI Australia life membership and in 2025 was named among JCI's 110 Influential Members as part of its 110th anniversary celebrations.

Peter holds eight community and sporting club life memberships and was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in 2019 for his service to the Australian community.
